Upcoming Exhibitions at Galerie Rousset
The Galerie Rousset is proud to present, from June 5 to August 8 2026 in Avignon, the exhibition “Landscapes of South Korea”, featuring a collection of black-and-white silver gelatin prints by internationally renowned photographer Michael Kenna.
A major figure in contemporary photography, Michael Kenna offers a sensitive and harmonised interpretation of the Korean landscape, based on erasure, slowness, and the precision of observation. His images explore territories at the edge of the visible— barely perceptible horizons, isolated trees, discreet architectures, mists, and diffuse light—where geographical space meets the imaginary, even the supernatural. This approach resonates particularly in South Korea, where the relationship between nature, spirituality, and silence is deeply rooted.
Through this event, Galerie Rousset will invite visitors to appreciate black-and-white photography as a work of art, and more broadly, to engage in a dialogue between humanity and nature.
